Using a Salt Generator
Your Aqua Rite generator is your best tool for managing healthy water chemistry. It will produce chlorine according to the desired output adjustment for the duration of the filtering and pumping cycle.
For normal operation, the Main Switch should be left in the AUTO position. The OFF position prevents the generation of chlorine.
When you have an abnormally high bather load or large amount of rain that causes cloudy water, put the main switch in the SUPER CHLORINATE position. This, along with the filter pump, will “shock” the water for 24 hours to purify the water.
If any lights are flashing or unsteady, the chart inside the door of your generator will let you know what it means and what to do.
During normal operation, the GENERATING LED will be steady; when the water is too hot or cold to operate, it will begin to flash.
REMOTELY CONTROLLED tells you that the system is being controlled by a remote.
NO FLOW alerts you to not enough water flowing through the system to make the salt generator operate properly.
If salt levels drop too low, the CHECK SALT LED illuminates and forces the Aqua Rite generator to produce low amounts of chlorine.
The HIGH SALT light comes on if the salt exceeds ideal levels. Too high, and it will automatically shut off the generator.
INSPECT CELL comes on once every three months, reminding you to contact your pool maintenance team and have them disassemble and clean the salt generator.
